Hallo Paw Organic Hemp had a lot that we liked. However, it does not contain Melatonin, or Thiamine Mononitrate (B1). It has an impressive 7 active ingredients, including Hemp Seed Oil and Powder, among others. In addition to the ingredients, we looked at the reviews. At the time of writing this, 33% of reviewers on Amazon gave this product 3 stars or less. There were some troubling reviews about dogs refusing to eat these or of these treats having no effects. However, there were some people who raved about the effectiveness of this product. We needed more research to figure out how we stand in regards to this product.

We liked that this product is produced here in the USA in an FDA-registered facility and with a GMP certification. These Hemp Chews came in third because they only met some of our standards. They claim to be beneficial for calming dogs, relieving discomfort, and improving the health of a dog’s fur.  However, there are only two ingredients we found that would contribute to relaxing your pooch. 

We felt that this product lacked transparency. The ingredient list has zero dosages provided so we cannot know if they are really present in potent dosages. There were only 4 ingredients Epic Chimp chose to highlight. These include sweet potato, beef liver, hemp oil, and flaxseed oil. Furthermore, the active ingredients and inactive ingredients are mixed together in the list so the inactive ingredients might actually be more substantial than the active ingredients. 

This product is third party tested and made in the USA. It comes with a 30-day return policy which is a good start, but a longer guarantee would display more confidence in the product’s efficacy. These had very few reviews and have a relatively high price for a product with only 4 key ingredients in undisclosed dosages. Based on these factors, we weren’t able to conclude with confidence that these are effective.
